With summer in full swing in Colorado, I traveled back to Washington this week to close out July with three weeks of legislative action—but not before spending July 4th visiting with folks across our district.
Washington, D.C. — Representatives Joe Neguse (D-CO) and Brittany Pettersen (D-CO) introduced legislation to study and improve access to mental health care services for America’s farmers and ranchers. This legislation also requires a feasibility study on including six reimbursable therapy sessions by providers that are trained and dedicated to serving the needs of farmers, ranchers, and their family members, through the Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network (FRSAN) Program – modeled after the Colorado Agricultural Addiction and Mental Health Program (CAAMHP).
Loveland’s Pulse broadband utility was cited as an example of what a community can do to bypass broadband giants with their own networks. Rep. Dear Neighbor, June was a busy and meaningful month, as our office continued our legislative work on behalf the people of Colorado. Last week, after our advocacy efforts over the past two year, the U.S. Department of Transportation awarded communities across Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District with over $38 million in grant funding to better invest in our local transportation infrastructure.
