Today, Colorado U.S. Senators Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper, and Colorado U.S. Representative Joe Neguse reintroduced the Colorado Outdoor Recreation and Economy (CORE) Act. The 2023 CORE Act protects approximately 420,000 acres of public land in Colorado, establishes new wilderness areas, and safeguards existing outdoor recreation opportunities to boost the economy for future generations.

The first bill, the Colorado Judgeship Act, would authorize three additional judges in Colorado’s federal district court. The second bill would allow a federal district courthouse to be established in Fort Collins. Both bills accommodate Colorado’s population growth in recent years.

Lafayette, CO — Today, Congressman Joe Neguse announced that the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has taken action to prevent undue foreclosures for victims of the Marshall Fire. HUD flagged all properties located within Louisville, Superior, and unincorporated Boulder County in their servicing system to require additional HUD approval before Due and Payable actions are taken.
