Rep. Joe Neguse visits Grand County
On Aug. 24 Rep. Joe Neguse visited Grand County, making stops in Kremmling and Granby. His first stop was in Kremmling to speak about the importance of closing the gaps on the Continental Divide Trail.
Neguse visited the Muddy Pass area of the trail, which is north of Kremmling, and then sat down with the Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Forest Service, the Continental Divide Trail Coalition, Headwaters Trails Alliance and representatives from the Town of Grand Lake. They spoke about the challenges each agency faced in completing the Continental Divide Trail.
Neguse is a sponsor of the Continental Divide Trail Completion Act, which is a bipartisan bill that directs the U.S. Forest Service and BLM to finish the 3,100-mile trail by 2028, if passed.
Then Neguse stopped at the Rocky Mountain Roastery in Granby to host “Conversations With Your Congressman.” There he spoke to constituents and fielded questions.
Later in the evening, Neguse attended Grand County Dems Fun-Raiser at YMCA Snow Mountain Ranch for an informal fireside chat, along with Sen. Dylan Roberts and Speaker of the House Julie McCluskie.
