Washington D.C.— Today, Congressman Joe Neguse released his 2021 Wildfire Resource Guide to share resources, instructions and information with Coloradans as they prepare for this year’s wildfire season. Congressman Neguse published a similar guide in October 2020, as multiple record-setting wildfires burned across his district.

Washington, D.C.—Today, Congressman Neguse announced that $1 million in federal funding for renovations to the Pulliam Community Building in Loveland, Colorado, will be included in this year’s House appropriations bill. The funding would allow the City of Loveland to renovate a community building that they anticipate will serve as a key shelter and resource distribution center during wildfires and other disasters. The Pulliam Community Building was used as a community meeting spot for over 70 years before being shuttered due to ADA and fire code non-compliance.

Washington, D.C.—Today, Congressman Joe Neguse announced that his request for $1 million in federal funding to create a joint bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering between Adams State University and Colorado State University has been included in the House appropriations bill. The program would expand STEM Education to historically underserved students in rural Colorado, and is supported by several Colorado-based companies.

Washington, D.C.—Today, Congressman Joe Neguse announced that he has secured $275,000 in federal funding for the Boulder Strong Resource Center, and $275,000 to support CU Boulder’s Rural Partnership Outreach Program. Funding for both projects have been included in House appropriations bills. In total, Congressman Neguse secured over $6 million in funding for community projects in his district tobe included in the end of year spending bills.

Neguse’s bipartisan legislation seeks to remember, honor, and teach about the injustices Japanese-Americans faced on Colorado land.

Washington, D.C.— Today, the House Natural Resources Committee voted to pass Congressman Joe Neguse’s bill, the Amache National Historic Site Act, out of committee. The legislation, which is also supported by Congressman Ken Buck, would designate the Amache incarceration site in Southeast Colorado as a National Historical Site.

Washington, DC—Today Congressman Joe Neguse, who serves as Vice Chair of the Immigration Subcommittee, led a group of House Judiciary Committee members in a letter to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, seeking answers on recent processing delays in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. The letter expresses concerns over unusually high processing times, requests information on the underlying causes of the backlog, including information on staffing and budgetary constraints, DACA application volume, and steps the department is taking to improve processing times.
