Washington, D.C. — Congressman Joe Neguse, Vice-Chair of the U.S. House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, introduced a legislative package focused on gun violence prevention and workplace safety. These common-sense measures will prevent the sale of guns to people convicted of violent misdemeanors, enforce state age requirements during background checks, and bolster security measures in public spaces to prevent mass shootings.
The U.S. Surface Transportation Board and the United States Department of Agriculture have given the project the go-ahead, prompting a letter from U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet and U.S. Rep. Joe Neguse criticizing the federal review of the project.

The University of Colorado Boulder has been awarded $9 million in federal funding for research on solar technology, U.S. Rep. Joe Neguse, D-Colo., announced Monday. CU Boulder’s project will design and build tandem silicon-perovskite solar cells, which convert light energy into electricity. Perovskite is a relatively new material used to build solar cells, and tandems are two solar cells stacked on top of each other for increased efficiency.
Lafayette, CO — Today, Congressman Joe Neguse announced that the University of Colorado Boulder has been awarded $9 million in federal funding for their innovation driven research on solar technology. This project was one of 19 selected nationwide and was part of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)'s $52 million investment in America’s domestic solar supply chain and energy grid; which includes funds allocated through the historic Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
The Congressional Art Competition is a nationwide high school art competition held every spring. It began in 1982 as a way to encourage and appreciate young artists and has had more than 650,000 high school students participate. U.S. Rep. Joe Neguse, D-Colo. and a Lafayette resident, hosted the art competition for Colorado’s 2nd District.
