Lafayette, CO — Congressman Joe Neguse, who previously served as Executive Director of Colorado’s Department of Regulatory Agencies from 2015-2017, released the following statement after the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced its decision to not tax Colorado Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights (TABOR) payments:

Lafayette, CO — Today, Colorado Congressman Joe Neguse, who previously served as Executive Director of Colorado’s Department of Regulatory Agencies from 2015-2017, led the entire Colorado delegation in calling on the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to continue treating Colorado Taxpayer’s Bill of Rights (TABOR) revenue payments as nontaxable income—as has been precedent for the past thirty years.

On Tuesday, Rep. Joe Neguse expressed “deep concerns” over the mismanagement of post offices in Western Colorado in a letter to Jason McMahill,  the district manager for the Colorado-Wyoming United States Postal Service district.

The letter states that the Colorado-Wyoming district’s mismanagement has led to “urgent concerns about the operations and conditions” of many of the mountain post offices.
