The Equality Act would amend the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and other existing laws to ensure that LGBTQ individuals are afforded the same protections against discrimination as every other American.

The amendment allows 16 and 17-year-olds nationwide the ability to pre-register to vote ahead of their 18th birthday.

BOLTS DITCH ACCESS & USE AND THE WEDGE ACT TO BE SIGNED INTO LAW
Washington D.C.— Today, Congressman Neguse congratulated Colorado State University for a $20 million funding renewal from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for continued investment in the Center for Risk-Based Community Resilience Planning. The Fort Collins-based center will receive $4 million annually for the next five years to help the community increase resilience to disaster.
Washington D.C.—Today, the House Judiciary Committee will hold a hearing to discuss protections for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients, Temporary Protected Status (TPS) beneficiaries and Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) recipients. The hearing will highlight the need for legislative solutions that provide lawful permanent resident status and a pathway to citizenship for these individuals, and will examine the personal and community-based impacts resulting from the Administration’s decision to terminate DACA, TPS and DED.
