Frisco, CO— Congressman Joe Neguse has submitted several requests to the House Appropriations Committee and House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure to include funding for specific Summit County community projects in the FY2022 funding bill and Surface Transportation Reauthorization legislation.
Congressman Neguse has also submitted requests for Big Barnes Ditch Trail improvements, Loveland Pulliam Community Building renovations, US 36 and Community Drive Roundabout work in Estes Park and the CSU Mechanical Engineering Partnership
Idaho Springs, CO— Congressman Joe Neguse has submitted requests to the House Appropriations Committee to include $1 million in federal funding for the Clear Creek County Collaborative Care Center, as well as $138,557 to establish a permanent location for the Gilpin County Emergency Operations Center in the FY2022 Appropriations Legislation.

“I remain deeply concerned by reports of ongoing atrocities and human rights violations in the Tigray region of Ethiopia. I strongly believe there must be an immediate cessation of hostilities, and an investigation into the reported human rights abuses. I will continue to monitor the situation closely, and to support the U.S. State Department's efforts to bring peace to the region.”
Washington D.C.— Today, Congressman Joe Neguse, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, launched “Get Out the Vaccine” Week May 1st through 8th to encourage black Coloradans to get vaccinated. Congressman Neguse, alongside Colorado lawmakers, is promoting vaccine opportunities across the state and encouraging Coloradans to make an appointment or walk-in at sites where walk-ins are accepted. The initiative is part of the Congressional Black Caucus’s effort to promote vaccine equity, CBC members are launching similar initiatives across the United States this week.
Boulder, CO— Today, Congressman Neguse announced that applications for 2021 Military Academy Nominations will open on May 1, 2021. Each year, Congressmembers have the opportunity to nominate students to attend 4 of the 5 military academies: U.S. Military Academy, West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. The fifth service academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, does not require a congressional nomination for appointment. Each Member may nominate up to ten individuals for each academy vacancy for their district.
