Washington D.C.— Today, Colorado Congressman Joe Neguse and Illinois Congresswoman Robin Kelly led a letter signed by over 60 lawmakers to President Joe Biden, calling for him to issue an executive order to ban the importation of assault weapons into the United States from abroad. The letter calls for an importation ban to include semiautomatic rifles and high-capacity magazines and comes just days after Congressman Neguse’s district experienced a devastating mass shooting at King Soopers, which killed 10 victims.

Washington D.C.— Today, Congressman Joe Neguse (D-CO) and Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) introduced bipartisan legislation to provide funding to Colorado’s mountain communities and rural areas across the United States, through funds for rural schools, emergency response and road maintenance. The bill provides supplemental federal funding to counties across the United States that are home to large areas of tax-exempt National Forests and Federal Lands.
