Washington D.C.—Today, Congressman Joe Neguse, who represents Summit County in the U.S. House of Representatives announced a $2 million grant from the Department of Transportation (DOT) to replace diesel buses in Breckenridge with battery-electric vehicles and charging infrastructure. The fleet will help Breckenridge, home to one of Colorado’s largest ski resorts, provide access to jobs, services and tourist sites.
Washington, D.C.— This week, Congressman Joe Neguse helped secure passage of bipartisan, bicameral legislation to deter illegal robocalls, which inconvenience thousands of consumers every day. The bill imposes civil penalties for robocall violations and improves enforcement measures—requiring telephone carriers to verify calls and allow robocalls to be blocked consistently and transparently. The measure represents an agreement between the House and Senate negotiators and is expected to head to the President’s desk next.
