Washington D.C.— Yesterday evening, Senate bill 47, also known as the Natural Resources Management Act, passed in the House with bipartisan support. The bill includes two provisions introduced by Representative Neguse: the Bolts Ditch Access and Use Act and the Arapaho National Forest Boundary Adjustment (WEDGE) Act.

Washington D.C.— During last week’s district work period, Representative Joe Neguse held several meetings with city and county leaders—including municipal leaders in Berthoud, Loveland, Fort Collins, Idaho Springs, Central City, Black Hawk, Clear Creek and Gilpin Counties, Vail, and Summit. He met with local business owners, researchers at Colorado’s federal labs, and students at Colorado State University to discuss local legislative efforts for the district.

Washington D.C.— Congressman Joe Neguse released the following statement in response to President Trump’s intent to declare a national emergency in order to build a wall on our southern border:

“The President’s apparent plan to declare a national emergency is lawless and unconstitutional. Under President Trump’s purported plan, the military would need to seize hundreds of miles of private and state-owned land. It’s a gross abuse of authority and a threat to our rule of law. If the President declares a national emergency tonight, we must challenge it in court tomorrow.”

Washington D.C.— Today, Congressman Joe Neguse (CO-02) joined Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) and Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) to introduce the Green New Deal resolution which resolves to work toward 100 percent renewable energy by 2030 and to ensure that jobs created in the transition provide living wages, equal opportunity and work to counteract systemic racial, regional, social and economic injustices

Washington D.C.— Today, Colorado Representative Joe Neguse was appointed as one of eight Democratic members to the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis. Neguse, 34, is the youngest member of the Committee and the only Representative from Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West. Neguse issued the following statement in response to the announcement:
