Washington, D.C.—Congressman Joe Neguse has secured $1 million in federal funding to create a joint bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering between Adams State University and Colorado State University. The program will expand STEM Education to historically underserved students in rural Colorado, and is supported by several Colorado-based companies.

Washington, D.C.—Congressman Joe Neguse has secured  $275,000 in federal funding for the Boulder Strong Resource Center, and $275,000 to support CU Boulder’s Rural Partnership Outreach Program. The Boulder Strong Resource Center began offering mental health services to the greater Boulder community in the wake of the March 22 mass shooting that took place in Boulder.

Washington, D.C.—This week, Congressman Joe Neguse, Congressman Ed Perlmutter and Congressman Jason Crow secured $2 million in federal funding to create a multidisciplinary Domestic Violence High Risk Team in Adams County. The Domestic Violence team would provide comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence, including shelter, legal aid, and emergency health services.

The funds would support fuel reduction operations across 85 acres that would mitigate wildfire risk and help protect local and regional water supplies.

Gilpin County is a small rural community with limited resources. Currently they are using an EOC-in-a-box concept, the setup of which takes valuable time and energy away from response efforts.
