This week, the first cases of COVID-19 testing "presumptive positive" were discovered in Colorado. Two positive test results were received on Thursday night and the other 6 were received last night. The cases are considered a “presumptive positive” because testing was conducted at the state level and these cases have now been sent to the CDC for official confirmation.
Washington, D.C.—Congressman Joe Neguse issued this statement following Governor Polis’s announcement this evening that the first two cases of COVID-19 testing “presumptive positive” have been discovered in Colorado:
Washington D.C.— Congressman Joe Neguse, who represents Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District in Congress, has helped pass the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, emergency supplemental funding to help address the Coronavirus epidemic. The funding package which comprises bipartisan and bicameral agreement passed the House on Wednesday and cleared the Senate this afternoon.
The bill includes over $9 million in emergency CDC funding for Colorado.

The legislation requires the Department of Defense to submit to Congress a report outlining the threats both domestic and abroad of climate change to United States national security.
