Washington D.C.—Today, Senator Michael Bennet announced his support for the Coronavirus Community Relief Act, bipartisan legislation led by Congressman Joe Neguse which will provide a $250 billion local stabilization fund for cities and counties with populations under 500,000. The bill has gained broad and bipartisan support since introduction a few weeks ago, including from Representatives Ed Perlmutter, Jason Crow and Scott Tipton.

Rep. Joe Neguse will hold a virtual town hall meeting Thursday morning for high school students across the 2nd Congressional District who are home due to COVID-19.

On the call, Neguse will provide a brief civics lesson and will answer questions about government and the coronavirus, the congressman’s office said in a press release.

The call will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday, April 16. Interested students can RSVP by emailing townhall.questions@mail.house.gov.

Washington D.C.—Today Congressman Joe Neguse announced that $360,905,482 in funding which will be immediately available to Colorado hospitals and healthcare providers as a part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act to address the COVID-19 pandemic. The funding is part of $30 billion designated under CARES for hospitals and healthcare providers, and it represents the first installment of an overall package of $100 billion.

Washington D.C.—Today Congressman Joe Neguse unveiled new legislation to provide aid and economic relief to individuals experiencing homelessness throughout Colorado and across the country in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The CARES Act, which passed the House and was signed by the President on March 27th, provided $4 billion in Emergency Solution Grants to equip the country’s homeless population, including $22 million for the state of Colorado.
