Washington, D.C. –– Today, Colorado Congressman Joe Neguse announced more than $8 million in funding for four projects across the 2nd Congressional District from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Buses and Bus Facilities Program and Low or No Emission Program, which provide financial assistance to transit systems across the country for buses and bus facilities capital projects. Of the total announced, nearly $4 million was awarded to Steamboat Springs, Winter Park and Eagle County.

Of the total announced, $4,838,610 was awarded to the City of Fort Collins’ Transfort Fleet Replacement and Modernization Project.

Lafayette, CO — Congressman Joe Neguse and Senator Michael Bennet implored Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Brendan Carr to put community interest over corporate profit and reject the Nexstar Media-Tegna merger. The $6.2 billion deal between the two broadcast companies is in direct violation of a federal law, enforceable by the FCC, that prevents a single company from controlling television stations that collectively reach more than 39% of U.S. households.
