Statement on the Conflict in Tigray

Washington, D.C. — Congressman Neguse issued the following statement on the conflict in the Tigray region:

“I remain deeply concerned by reports of ongoing atrocities and human rights violations in the Tigray region of Ethiopia. I strongly believe there must be an immediate cessation of hostilities, and an investigation into the reported human rights abuses. I will continue to monitor the situation closely, and to support the U.S. State Department's efforts to bring peace to the region.”
