Rep. Neguse Issues Statement on Fire at Caribou Village in Nederland
Lafayette, CO — Colorado Congressman Joe Neguse issued the following statement on the fire at the Caribou Village Shopping Center in Nederland:
“In the early morning hours, a fire broke out at the Caribou Village Shopping Center in Nederland, a beloved hub for our community and home to some of the area’s most cherished small businesses. We are incredibly grateful to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office and the brave first responders for their efforts to contain the devastation. My team and I are closely monitoring the aftermath of this tragedy and stand ready to assist affected residents as they begin their road to recovery—together, every step of the way.”
Recent news reports indicate that at least 19 businesses were affected, in addition to the destruction of a Boulder County sheriff’s substation.
