Office of Congressman Neguse Hosts Annual App-A-Thon at Ball Aerospace in Boulder, Colo.

October 16, 2023

Lafayette, CO — This weekend, the Office of Congressman Joe Neguse hosted their annual App-A-Thon for local middle and high school-aged students planning to participate in the 2023 Congressional App Challenge. Students were joined by coding professionals and received helpful tips and feedback on their app submissions.

“The Congressional App Challenge is an exciting opportunity for students across the country to pursue a career in STEM, and this weekend’s App-A-Thon gave them the time to ask questions, receive advice, and tutoring from the experts. I am thankful to the coders and engineers who joined us and lent their knowledge,” said Congressman Neguse.

The Congressional App Challenge is open to all middle and high schoolers in Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District. It was officially launched by the U.S. House of Representatives in 2015 and is a nationwide effort allowing students to compete against their peers by creating an application (also known as an "app") for desktop/PC, web, tablet, mobile, raspberry Pi, or other devices.

Student sign-up for the 2023 Congressional App Challenge is still open. Eligible students can register and submit their apps through 12:00 PM EST on November 1st, 2023. Find additional information HERE
