Washington, D.C.—Congressman Neguse has secured $1 million in federal funding for the Clear Creek County Collaborative Care Center in Idaho Springs, Colorado. The facility will streamline the health care process and increase the number of patients able to be seen and treated within the county. It would increase access to primary care, mental and behavioral health services, immunizations, and Colorado Department of Public Health and the Environment CORE Services through one facility, housing a variety of healthcare services.
In total, Congressman Neguse secured over $7 million in funding for community projects in his district that will be funded by Congress in FY 2022. The omnibus package passed the House and Senate last week and was signed into law by President Biden today.
“It was exciting to visit this project over the summer and see firsthand how federal funds will expand access to health care for our mountain communities,” said Congressman Neguse. “Having access to a wide variety of care options can fundamentally change residents' lives, and securing that access is crucial. We’re proud to secure $1 million in federal funding through this years Appropriations bill to support the Center and expand access to rural health care for Coloradans”
Neguse submitted several Community Project Funding requests to the Appropriations Committee, and has had remarkable success advocating for projects in Colorado’s 2nd District. The Clear Creek County Collaborative Care Center is among the 10 Neguse-sponsored projects to be funded in FY2022.
