Congressman Neguse to Host Republican Climate Crisis Committee Colleague Kelly Armstrong for a Farm Tour Focused on Sustainable Agriculture
Washington D.C.—Today, Congressman Joe Neguse announced that he will host another member of Congress in the 2nd district on Monday for a sustainable agriculture farm tour. Republican Congressman Kelly Armstrong, who sits on the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis alongside, Neguse will visit Colorado and join the Congressman for a series of farm visits and discussion of sustainable agriculture practices.
“I’m honored to welcome my colleague Congressman Kelly Armstrong to Colorado next week,” said Congressman Joe Neguse. “I’ve had the pleasure of getting to work with him on both the Judiciary Committee working on cannabis policy, as well as through the Select Committee on the Climate Crisis. I’m excited to show him parts of our district and talk about areas for bipartisan compromise on sustainable agriculture, carbon sequestration and environmental protection.”
“I’m glad to join Congressman Joe Neguse for these farm visits to learn more about their approach to agriculture,” said Congressman Kelly Armstrong (R-ND At-Large). “Farming plays a huge role in our states’ economies, and no two farms are alike. I’m excited for the experience and I thank Congressman Neguse for the invite.”

This is the 4th Congressional visit Congressman Neguse has hosted in the 2nd district in the last two months. In July, he brought the House Select Committee on the Climate Crisis to the district for a series of lab tours and the Committee’s first field hearing. In August, he hosted Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi for a discussion on health care and earlier this month Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez joined for a climate tour in Broomfield County.
