Congressman Joe Neguse Launches “Service Town Hall” Initiative — Will Hold First Service Town Hall (and 10th Town Hall Since Taking Office) with Bridge House Boulder
Washington D.C.— Congressman Joe Neguse will hold his first “Service Town Hall” on Saturday, March 23rd at Bridge House, Boulder. As part of a new “Service Town Hall” initiative, constituents are invited to join Congressman Neguse in a community service event, packing toiletry kits for homeless individuals in Boulder, ahead of a town hall discussion at the same location. The new initiative — combining community service with an official Congressional town-hall — is believed to be the first of its kind nationwide.
“I’ve always wanted to make town halls a service activity. As we gather together to discuss policy and advocacy in our communities, it is important to also put our energy and activism to work by serving others in our community,” said Congressman Joe Neguse. “We’re excited to hold our first ever service town hall at Bridge House, and we look forward to holding many similar events in the future.”
