As some of you may be aware, Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District is made up of nearly 60% public lands! I look forward to continuing to work to enact legislation that will support our environment and our public lands, prioritizing efforts to preserve and restore our forests and protect our communities from record-breaking wildfires.

SERVICE ACADEMY NOMINATIONS
Recently, I had the chance to celebrate this year’s 2023 Military Academy Nominees. These students were nominated to attend a Military Service Academy and are already incredible leaders. They truly represent the best of Colorado, and it was such an honor to celebrate their accomplishments with them and their families. I wish them the best of luck as they pursue a life of service!
WHAT ELSE HAVE WE BEEN WORKING ON?
-
On Monday, I wrote a letter to the USPS District Manager for Colorado and Wyoming requesting that the agency address immediately urgent concerns about the operations and conditions of our mountain post offices in Steamboat Springs, Dillon, Silverthorne, Gypsum, Frisco and elsewhere. We will continue to urge the USPS to implement solutions to the ongoing mail delays.

In case you missed it, last week I re-introduced the Veterans Jobs Training Act, a critical bill to help support our nation’s retired service members. Read more about it, here.

We also recently introduced a series of bills aimed at tackling wildfires, read more here.
