Local students win 2nd Congressional District App Challenge

Congressman Joe Neguse recently announced the winners in Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District’s 2023 App Challenge.

The challenge is an annual competition that gives middle and high school students an opportunity to explore a STEM career. The projects will be featured on CongressionalAppChallenge.us, and the winning apps will be displayed at the U.S. Capitol.

The first place winner in the 2nd Congressional District is the Medify AI app, which was submitted by Shibani Senthilkumar, a freshman at Lafayette’s Peak to Peak Charter School. MedifyAI is an interactive medical app.

The second place winner is the Course Rescheduler app, submitted by Peak to Peak freshmen Rohit Movva, Pierce Ross, Joshua Velayo and Alden Bradley. Course Rescheduler helps students with their class schedules.

The third place winner is the Monetary Fluency app, submitted by Devang Pandey, a junior at Boulder’s Fairview High School. Monetary Fluency helps teens learn financial literacy.
