The Rocky Mountain National Park Boundary Modification Act would allow former NASA astronaut and Longmont, Colorado native Vance D. Brand to donate 40 acres to Rocky Mountain National Park, and the Rocky Mountain Ownership Correction Act would correct a longstanding error regarding a local family’s cabin that was mistakenly transferred to the park.

This app was created by three high school students, Krupa Subramaniam and Kai Hoshijo, who attend Legacy High School in Adams 12 and Koki Gunasinghe who attends Peak to Peak Charter School in Boulder Valley School District. The app aims to educate middle and high schoolers about the brain and how mental illness and drug use can affect it.

H.R. 437 was first introduced in the House by Congressman Neguse in January of 2019, and was inspired by artist Jane DeDecker, a constituent in Loveland, who first envisioned such a monument to honor the 19th amendment and the women who led the women’s suffrage movement.

Washington D.C.—Today, Congressman Joe Neguse introduced the Wildfire Recovery Act to help ensure Colorado communities have the resources they need to recover from a devastating wildfire season. Specifically, the legislation would increase flexibility in the federal cost share for Fire Management Assistance Grants (FMAG) and allow for an increase above the current 75% federal share. Currently, the CalWood, East Troublesome, and Cameron Peak Fires which burned throughout the 2nd district have all been authorized to receive FMAG grants to assist in recovery efforts.
