Lafayette, CO — Last week, President Joe Biden signed Congressman Joe Neguse’s Mental Health for Military Families Act into law. The bipartisan bill, which expands access to counseling and mental health services for Colorado’s military families, was enacted as part of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24).

Lafayette, CO — Today, Congressman Joe Neguse announced federal funding for groundbreaking drought and flood preparedness research underway at Colorado State University in Fort Collins and the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder. The two projects located within Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District were competitively selected by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) Climate Program Office (CPO) and will help improve NOAA monitoring and modeling capabilities through precipitation data development and analysis.

Lafayette, CO — Today, Congressman Joe Neguse announced $964,480 in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding has been allocated to the City of Fort Collins to identify solutions to maximize safety and comfort for local cyclists. The Department of Transportation awarded Fort Collins with Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grants to assist the city in conducting supplemental planning and demonstration activities meant to inform improvements along transportation corridors with safety issues.

Lafayette, CO — Today, Congressman Joe Neguse and U.S. Senators Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper announced $23,032,000 in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding has been allocated to the City of Boulder to address intersection and corridor safety issues for local pedestrians and bicyclists. The Department of Transportation awarded Boulder with Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grants to assist the city in implementing a systemic approach to safety that includes making much-needed improvements to high-risk roadways and intersections.

Lafayette, CO — Today, Congressman Joe Neguse announced the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) will include the Front Range Passenger Rail Project in the Corridor Identification Development (Corridor ID) Plan, a program authorized by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to facilitate the development of intercity passenger rail corridors.

Lafayette, CO — Today, Congressman Joe Neguse announced soon to be implemented United States Postal Service (USPS) improvements for Steamboat Springs residents. Following efforts led by Rep. Neguse, the USPS has indicated it will move forward with eliminating the P.O. Box fee for eligible residents of Steamboat Springs. Eligible residents may also receive refunds for up to 24 months of past fees.
