Rep. Neguse Applauds Swift Enactment of CHIPS and Science Act
After months-long negotiations between the House & Senate, the final version of this bill will make tremendous strides toward lowering costs for working families and reigniting American competition.
Washington, D.C. — Today, President Biden signed into law the Creating Helpful Incentives to Produce Semiconductors (CHIPS) and Science Act. This law is a bold, bipartisan legislative package that focuses on strengthening our economic and national security, sparking semiconductor innovation and manufacturing, removing roadblocks to attracting scientific investment across America, and boosting resilience in U.S. supply chains.
“Today, President Biden took an important step toward ensuring that America remains a global leader in science and innovation. The CHIPS and Science Act will support our country’s ability to compete, investing in our pool of potential to better invest in our production and manufacturing sectors. I’m excited to see policymakers come together to lower prices and strengthen competitiveness.” said Congressman Neguse. “For Coloradans, this bill will create good-paying jobs in growing industries and support small businesses across our district, while also propelling solutions for the climate crisis and providing vital funding for key research institutions.
